Winter 2017; 11(1):75-77.AbstractAcute Necrotizing Encephalopathy of childhood (ANEC) is a specific type of encephalopathy. After viral infection, it can be diagnosed by bilateral symmetrical lesions predominantly observed in thalami & brainstem of infants & children.Although, it is commonly occurred in Japanese and Taiwanese population. The goal of this article is to report a rare case of ANEC in a 15 months old girl infant from Thaleghani Hospital, Ramian, Gorgan, northern Iran.References1. Mizuguchi M, Mizuguchi M, Abe J, et al. Dynamics of modulationally unstable ionacoustic wave packets in plasmas with negative ions
In this paper we study the propagation of nonlinear ion-acoustic waves in plasmas with negative ions. The Gardner equation governing these waves in plasmas with the negative ion concentration close to critical is derived. The weakly nonlinear theory of modulational instability based on the use of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation is discussed. The investigation of the nonlinear dynamics of modulationally unstable quasi-harmonic wavepackets is carried out by the numerical solution of the Gardner equation. The results are compared with the predictions of the weakly nonlinear theory
Minimality properties of set-valued processes and their pullback attractors
We discuss the existence of pullback attractors for multivalued dynamical
systems on metric spaces. Such attractors are shown to exist without any
assumptions in terms of continuity of the solution maps, based only on
minimality properties with respect to the notion of pullback attraction. When
invariance is required, a very weak closed graph condition on the solving
operators is assumed. The presentation is complemented with examples and
counterexamples to test the sharpness of the hypotheses involved, including a
reaction-diffusion equation, a discontinuous ordinary differential equation and
an irregular form of the heat equation.Comment: 33 pages. A few typos correcte
